Jack Petchey is one of the UK's most successful businessmen. Established in 1999, The Jack Petchey Foundation gives grants to programmes and projects that benefit young people aged 11-25 in London and Essex. The Foundation is eager to help young people take advantage of opportunities and play a full part in society. Since it has been established the Foundation has awarded grants totalling over £50million.
Three times a year nomination forms are filled in by the gymnasts, parents and volunteers of the gym. A young person is nominated to recieve the award and can be in recognition of hard work, contribution to the club, effort and achievement.
The award winner is presented with a framed certificate, a pin badge and a "substitute" cheque for £200 - this money is then used to purchase something for the club which will benefit everyone.
